Whether you attend every year or have never been before, this
is the year to attend the 13th annual St. George Area Parade of
Homes, Feb. 14-23.
The Parade is more than a home show - it's a nationally recognized
award-winning event hosting thousands of visitors in search of
the latest building and decorating
trends.
This year, there will be 25 homes that will be open to visitors.
The homes will range in price from the low $200,000s to more than
$6 million.
One of the attractions to the area is, in fact, the warmer temperatures
in the winter. Southern Utah includes diverse landscapes, beautiful red-rock
rocks, lush green trees, and first-class golf courses.
The St. George Area Parade features some of the finest builders,
trades contractors and suppliers in the nation.
Each year these craftsmen exhibit some of the most creative designs
and unique features, somehow outdoing themselves from prior years.
This year
is no exception.
Parade home styles include contemporary, country French, Italian,
Mediterranean, traditional, Tuscan-Olde world, and southwest.
Parade visitors will notice several unique features when visiting
the homes:
- One unique Parade home has been designed to totally blur
the distinction between indoors and outdoors by cresting waterscape
grottos, sky-lit planters
with 20-foot trees, and glass walls that slide open into the
spectacular desert landscape.
- A 9,300-square-foot home features a two-story library which includes a
reading loft, spiral staircase, and a domed "sky".
- The beauty of one amazing home is enhanced by a three-tiered
pool/spa and an unparalleled waterfall which is connected to
the home's exterior and cascades
from the rooftop down to the ground.
- If you think it's all desert, think again. A truly unique home located "away
from it all" sits high a top pinion covered hills, creating
a mountain setting unlike any other.
- Escape to paradise by entering artistic backyards, which
include mystic pools and water features designed by award-winning
landscapers and pool designers.
- As with all St. George homes, large windows are popular
to capture the available views of the surrounding mountains,
Zion National Park and Snow Canyon
State Park.
Parade tickets go on sale Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at Lin's Market locations
and center court of the Red Cliffs Mall. For more information
