This is a plan the builders have adapted to better fit the needs of modern homebuyers. Called the “Grand Summit,” it is a version of the home that has been used by Village Carefree Communities in a number of communities and has been very popular.

The plan features 10-foot ceilings for a very open feeling. Even the basement has 10-foot ceilings, along with a walkout door to a rear patio. There is also a coffered ceiling in the dining room, eight-foot interior doors and a window wall in the great room.

The home is designed for the empty nester, meaning that there are fewer rooms, but more space in each of the rooms. To give the rooms an even roomier look, larger windows were used. This is made possible with the higher ceilings.

Realizing, too, some people don’t enjoy climbing, the homes comes with very few steps. Inside, there are two fireplaces, one in the master suite and the second in the family room, a large formal living room and a butler pantry leading into the kitchen.

There are three decorative rock pillars inside the home that match the rock used on the exterior. The master bath includes both a jetted tub and shower. Included in the design is a flex room, which can be any one of a number of things, including a den, office or extra bedroom.

Off the flex room is a large bedroom. In the basement there is a media room, bathroom and storage area.
