The Somerset is accented with a rustic rock, brick and timber exterior. Inside, the designer introduced a flowing feel to the home with coffered ceilings in the formal living and dining rooms, a custom gourmet kitchen and a 17-foot-high family room with a floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace. Also featured is a spacious master suite complete with an oversized jetted tub and separate grand shower.
This is a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home with a separate den and some interesting architectural lines that give it a lot of curb appeal. There are two staircases - one leading from the family room and a second leading from the entry. It also has a very open look with very wide halls and large rooms and nine-foot ceilings on the main level.
To guarantee the comfort of the owner, the builder doubled up on important key components to the home - like two furnaces, two air conditioners and two water heaters. On the list of standard features are front doors with decorative glass inset and brass kick plates, custom exterior shutters, a large concrete patio, 30-year architectural shingles, ceiling fans, three-tone paint, raised-panel hardwood cabinets, pantry, can lighting in the kitchen, jetted garden tub and separate shower in the grand bath, natural-gas fireplace and walk-in closet in the master suite with closet organizer.
This home, too, is only a short distance from a community swimming pool and recreation center. The location of the home is also central to things like recreation in Big and Little Cottonwood canyons and to shopping at nearby centers.
