The Madison is a new plan for the builder. Sometime back he visited Daniels Summit, liked it and wanted to build a home with the classic rustic timber and stone exterior look and the open interior floor plan.
One of the popular features of the home are the large open gathering spaces and private retreats for all members of the family. The builder used knotty alder woodwork and doors.
One thing certain to get attention is the massive fireplace that starts in the recreation room in the basement, which rises through the stairwell and goes out through the ceiling. It stands 30 feet high.
The views from the master suite are among the home's best features. The master bath comes with a corner jetted tub, an oversized, walk-around master shower with no door, floors done in travertine tile and a built-in dresser of alder wood that is capped with granite.
The cabinets in the kitchen are of knotty alder and are accented with commercial-grade Viking appliances. The floors in the entry, kitchen and eating nook are hardwood.
There is a private guest suite that allows for the presence of extended family. Not only is there a bedroom and bath, but also a private entry leading to the back of the home. There are four more bedrooms in the lower level, along with another family room and a recreation room and a second laundry room.
There are two patios - one on the lower level, accessed by the walk-out basement, and one on the main level off the great room. In order to capture full advantage of the available views the home was designed with large windows.
