Association is committed to the community "Home Builders Care" has been the National Association of Home Builders motto for many years and the Northern Wasatch home builders are also committed to helping the communities they live in, by promoting good citizenship and pride through direct financial contributions and volunteer hours. NWHBA's enthusiastic volunteers work hard on community service projects and other activities while contributing thousands of hours of their own personal time and money. The NWHBA has been a strong supporter of the students in the local community by donating various scholarships to students at Weber State University and at the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College. The NWHBA members have donated funds to political candidates who defend the protection of personal property rights. NWHBA members also donate hours, supplies and monies for the annual "Have a Heart" charity home. The NWHBA recently held a Dream Home coloring and drawing contest for students in Box Elder, Davis, Morgan and Weber counties. The winning student was awarded a $100 savings bond and the class was awarded a $100 Staples gift certificate for school supplies. Each school that participated in the contest received a $25 Staples gift certificate. The winning entry was created by Dallin Chipman from Mountain View Elementary in the Davis School District. Dallin is a student of Mrs. Nes's class. Congratulations to all the children who participated in the drawing contest for a job well done. NWHBA members also donate hours, supplies and monies for the annual "Have a Heart" charity home. The winner of the Dream Home contest was Dallin Chipman. |
