The builder had seen the plan before, but it wasn't quite what he had envisioned for the home show. So he took the plan, made some changes and will be introducing it for the first time.

It is a contemporary home in a rambler style. The exterior is a blend of brick and stucco. Among the things that sets this home apart are the walkout basement and the large covered deck in the rear of the home.

Visitors will enter through a foyer with 12-foot ceilings. The high ceilings continue into the great room where there is a contemporary-style fireplace from floor to ceiling. This is also the heart of the wiring system for home entertainment.

The kitchen features distressed alder cabinets, with marble countertops, double ovens and a smooth-surface stove, pantry and China hutch. The flooring in the kitchen is Australian hardwood.

There are three bedrooms on the main level, including the master suite. Here, again, all of the bedrooms come with the high ceilings and large windows. From the master suite there is a set of doors that leads to a covered deck in the rear. In the master bath there are ceramic tile and slate surround for the jetted tub and shower.

The lower level of the home is partially finished with two bedrooms and a bath and a large family room with fireplace.

Things that will set this home apart are the large rooms and the openness of the plan. The builder placed the water softener in the three-car garage for easier access, along with hot and cold running water. The yard will be fully landscaped.
