| The plans for this home came about differently than those for its sister home next door, home No. 3. This was a totally custom design drawn up by the builder with input from the owner.
This, too, is a traditional rambler-style home with rock and stucco exterior. From the front of the home there are two separate entrances. One leads into the home and the second leads into a home office. French doors can be opened up to let the outdoors in during working hours in the office. The flow leads to the great room in the center of the home, with the kitchen off to the left and the master suite off to the right. In the great room there is an American Gothic-style fireplace made of a concrete case and accented with black travertine. There is also a rock fireplace in the kitchen. The countertops in the kitchen are solid surface and the appliances are stainless steel.
This home also is accented with a lot of wood features, including exposed beams in the great room. The floors on the main level are hardwood and all of the doors on the main level are 8-foot solid wood. Large French doors in both the master suite and great room lead to a large rear deck.
The basement of the home will be finished with a wet bar, kitchen area, two guest bedrooms, bath and a large children's playroom with a range of built-in toys, like a slide that comes out through a hole in a wall. The walls of the room will all be painted with fairy tale images. There is also a family room that will be fitted with all the games, including a pool table. Below the upper deck will be a covered patio access through the walkout basement.
The extensive use of wood throughout the home will be one of the main drawing points of this home. This home comes with a large three-car garage accessed through a laundry room.
